Join our society, and get involved in the life of the theatre. We look forward to welcoming you.
Wilmslow Green Room is one of the oldest Amateur Dramatic Societies in the country, having been founded in 1924. Originally, varied venues were used. Then – following a huge fundraising effort – the Society developed a Victorian cottage and old industrial premises on Chapel Lane, which opened in 1989 as Wilmslow’s own little theatre.
Each season, we have six in-house productions, plus a short open air theatre run at Quarry Bank in Styal.

How could you help?
No special skills are needed – apart from interest, enthusiasm, commitment and some time to give. There are opportunities for getting involved in activities front of house, or back stage, or on stage; you will experience working in a team, and have the chance to see how productions are prepared. You might choose to help with running events, serving on committees, or assisting practically. There are roles and jobs for all. You will meet others, make new friends, and be able to contribute to the success of our own little theatre.
